The theater company Vígkarma is one of the most recent independent theater “laboratories” of Debrecen, Hungary. Established in January 2014, the troupe rehearses and puts performances on stage under the auspices of the University of Debrecen Theater (DESZ). We frequently participate in independent and university theater festivals. Our play Ubu FC – The Final received the István Paál Diploma at the FEST-Feszt in Budapest in November 2017. We performed this show in English at Joyfest in Kiev in October 2018 and at the IATA Festival in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada in August 2019.
